Hearts on fire
How can a game about putting fires out be so much fun? American SNES owners may never know! Sadly, The Firemen saw a limited release around the world. It’s a shame, because this is one of the most unique and fun titles on the Super Nintendo.
This is a shooting game where the emphasis is on saving lives, not killing things. In The Fireman, up to two players can try to tackle an increasingly dynamic set of fiery dangers. Stages are laid out like mazes, with the obvious path often obscured by debris or walls of flame.
The Firemen is an under-appreciated gem that deserved a bigger release.
