Nailed it

Sega’s Model 2 hardware pumped out many classics, but Top Skater deserves special mention. The game was released well before Tony Hawk brought skateboarding to the gaming masses. Trick-based gameplay never felt so good!

With classic Sega arcade gameplay, smooth 3d graphics and a soundtrack by Pennywise, it was an instant standout in busy arcades. The game joined a host of popular Sega arcade titles that were mainstays in the arcades of the time, such as Daytona USA and Manx TT Super Bike. The custom cabinet was also an attention-magnet.

A skating game based around tricks and speed, Top Skater was straightforward but exciting.
